Trail Shift No. 2, 3, 4 & 5

This nice weather has prompted a huge splurge in people injuring themselves, I think that with the nice weather come the Triple A’s – Allergies, Alcohol & Accidents (not Abdominal Aortic Aneurisms). Though generally the accidents are caused by the alcohol. Regardless, the last four shifts I have managed to eat strict paleo for a run of late shifts and am really starting to feel the beneficial effects of eating a paleo diet. It really is doable for shift workers, they key is planning and making food ahead of time. I know the number of recipes uploaded have been slim recently but the increase in work load meant I haven’t had much free time to accurately record recipes, however I will be looking to do more of these in the near future.

Despite working a shift pattern, I’ve been sleeping much better as well thanks to the paleo food and the advice in The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf which, if you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend as it answered a lot of my questions. The beauty was that all the ‘geeky science stuff’, as Robb puts it, is stuff that I have studied in depth as well and it made complete sense. I will be posting more recipes and food tips in the next few days so apologies for the absence recently.
